Glove Box Door?

Hi, I'm new here. I just bought a 55 Pontiac Chieftan 2 dr. it has a 389 with 3-2s & a Borg warner T-10 4 spd. It hasn't run in a long time. Plates say 1971. The eng. turns over. I hope to try to get it running next weekend. I have a question. In the boxes of parts that came with it there is a glove box door that says Pontiac Deluxe & has a clock in it. Can anybody tell me what year car it is off of? I have been told late 30s to early 40s. It will just be a wall hanger for me I would like to be able to say what year it is. I will try to attach a pic. Thanx in advance. Billy
