Gm 10 Bolt Rear-end in 1969 Pontiac Firebird.?

Im putting a pontiac 455 with about 425hp into my 69 firebird. Will the 10 bolt rear end i have in the car be fine too use with this motor.
Im not planning to drag race or anything, just a fun street car.

As long as you stay away from slicks and have an automatic transmission and don't abuse the rear end it should give good service. They are stronger than the Chevy 10 bolt models.

The 10 bolt rear end should be plenty strong enough.
