First thanks for any responses I get.

So today it just started happening , I get a grinding noise from the back car what sounds like the passenger side . It doesn't happen all the time mostly when I start to accelerate from a stopped position mostly on a hill. The car has also started vibrating. I have 177k on it and no engine lights or anything is on the car. What do you guys think this is ? I'm going to try to take it into a local place tomorrow but want to have some idea of what i'm asking and also so I don't get taken advantage of. I have 4 hour drive on Friday for an interview so i'm hoping I can get this fixed tomorrow or a bandaid that will last the weekend.

Thanks guys

A guess would be wheel bearing or brakes and the longer you wait the more damage that will occur.

okay thanks. I am heading to the shop now , hopefully its something I can get done today , if not I will have to take it in Monday afternoon

What was the ultimate issue with the grinding noise?

I too have just encountered such a sound but I am unable to localize it except to say that its coming from the engine.

Thanks for any background you can share!
