grinding rotating head light

Hello all.anyone else have this: on a 1999 trans am.... anytime the headlights are closed,they close fine but the driver side motor seems to continue running like its grinding at something for 7 or 8 second after the light has closed.???????????????

The light motor is running on , usually a sign of a bad motor or possibly a sticking relay in the motor circuit ..
I think replacing the motor or relay should cure it if I remember correctly..
