I am guessing that the (P) is your parking brakes. So you are probably engaging on your Parking brakes, if not then the sensor is letting you know that you could be low on brake fluid or have brake problems
I don't know what the (I) is, I can't see it at this time and know what it is
I just looked at some pictures of the Cluster for the 2001 Sunfire, I didn't see anything that showed (P) or (I) on it, where are these located that you are looking at?
