I have an 2000 sunfire and lately it has let me wife sit with not starting. Turns ovr but doesnt start, thought it was her key since it was not OE? It started right up with my key so all was forgotten.
A few times after using the car, after it started and you put it in gear the hazards would flash and hear a ticking from the fuse area and then the service light comes on. I pluged in my auto scanner and no codes come up? It seemed to run fine like this but now it doesnt want to start?
Everything seems to check out except I dont think the fuel pump is pressuring up when the key is turned, cant hear it?
Think it could be the anti-theft system?
Owners manual says bring to dealer when service light comes on, dont want to if I dont have too.
Any help would be great!
