I installed a new headliner this past weekend. Looks ok for 1st headliner. Would have done some things different. But, oh well. I do have some wrinkles and around the sale panels. I heard that a heat gun when applied appropriately will take out wrinkles and any unwanted loose spots. So I tried a hair dryer (because I do not have a heat gun.) The hair dryer did not work. Can someone confirm a heat gun will take out the wrinkles and draw my headliner taught. Thanks . . . JIMB

I had mine done "Professionally" and have the same issue. If you find an answer please let me know.

After some time. The heat gun does take out creases. But I have a small pocket by one of my sail pales and the heat gun did not work on that. So the heat gun does work on small creases or crinkles. Be careful not to burn the head liner. Use the gun at about 400 degrees and keep about 2 inches from headliner and brush back and forth, you can see the creases disappear. Don't let set on one area for more than 4 secs. Thanks . . .JIMB

Thanks, I'll try that.
