Greetings to all of you.David Fortner here, formerly of Charleston,Wva,now living in Grayson,Ga.My 70 Cat is named Sherman, for the Tank of WW2.When I first got him,the paint was gone, and my buddy that was in the Army said"This thing is as big and ugly as a Sherman tank, and the name stuck.I got a WVa personal plate that says SHERMAN on it,but now I have Ga historic vehicle plate.I need a front license bracket so I can put Sherman back on.
There isn't any thing on this ride that hasn't been rebuilt or replaced at least once since 1996 when I got him from the son of the 2nd owner. It had 146,000 miles on then, and I put another 140,000+on him, working my trade in the southeastern states.I rebuilt the engine-350 2bbl-at 265,000,had the tranny reblt a couple times, front end ,brakes, you name it.
I have really had a blast with this tank. Thanks for letting me ramble.Dave
