• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Greetings to all of you.David Fortner here, formerly of Charleston,Wva,now living in Grayson,Ga.My 70 Cat is named Sherman, for the Tank of WW2.When I first got him,the paint was gone, and my buddy that was in the Army said"This thing is as big and ugly as a Sherman tank, and the name stuck.I got a WVa personal plate that says SHERMAN on it,but now I have Ga historic vehicle plate.I need a front license bracket so I can put Sherman back on.
There isn't any thing on this ride that hasn't been rebuilt or replaced at least once since 1996 when I got him from the son of the 2nd owner. It had 146,000 miles on then, and I put another 140,000+on him, working my trade in the southeastern states.I rebuilt the engine-350 2bbl-at 265,000,had the tranny reblt a couple times, front end ,brakes, you name it.
I have really had a blast with this tank. Thanks for letting me ramble.Dave
