help bypassing knocksensor

I need some help guys I have a code 43 on a 1991 pontiac firebird 3.1 v6 whick is the knocksensor circit and it is retarding my timing. I need to bypass this thing because I had sad performance. does anybody know how to bypass it and fool the computer. thanks

I cut the dark blue wire that goes into the knock sensor module not the tan one that goes into the knock sensor. performance is back I still have the check engine light for it but its because there is now an open in the circuit and the computer is controling it as if there is no knock. I win. cost for parts $0. cost for cutting? got all my power back and gas milage
