Hi there , I have a later 400 block# 500667 that I was going to stroke ,I did some reaserch and find out it was not suitable block for a stroker motor so I got it back from the machine shop but it was already bore out to 4.185 .at this point I though it will be better just to rebuilt the engine stock but can't seems to find a 0.65 over piston that will go with a stock rod and stock stroke .. What can I do ?
Thank you...

did you speak to the machine shop about sleeving the block?

Wouldn't you need a .060 piston. 4.185 - .060 = 4.125 which should be the stock bore. Or am I missing something

isnt the stock bore 4.120 so the block would be too large by .005 for the .060 pistons? Another thought, if the block can handle it, is bore it out to 4.190 change the stroke to a 455, 4.210
