and cant find nothing on how to tell if you have a bad fuel regulator because when i start my car fuel pump keeps running longer then normal and floods the engine any help or tips please and thank you

Try unplugging the electrical connector from the MAP sensor. If the engine runs much better with the MAP sensor unplugged, that indicates the MAP sensor was sending bad information to the computer. Most likely the MAP sensor would be sending bad information to the computer because the MAP sensor wasn't connected to the intake manifold on the correct port using vacuum lines that don't leak.
