I recently Purchased a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am It has a problem where when the car warms up it is cutting off when I press on the Brake pedal at lights, If I let it cut off it will turn over but once I put it in Gear it cuts off yet again I have replaced the Fuel Pump and Filter yet the problem still exists is there anyone who knows what the problem might be? The previous owner said something to do with the Transmission is getting clogged (Not sure if that could be the issue) Seeming as the car shifts fine. Oh and the Car runs perfect in Neutral or Park doesnt cut off until it is in gear please help.

there is a plug in the front of your transmission unplug it and see if the car stalls.if it stays running then the transmission has a bad tcc.i have had the same problem with my 1993 beretta.i just ran my car without the plug in untill i had time to replace the part.

my thought was the brake booster has a vacuum leak
