Got a 94 Sunbird 2.0L. If you let it idle for 4 to 6 Min it'll stall. After engine warms up and i give it full throttle, it will hesitate and buck then sometimes stall and sometimes not. Also has hard starts after engine reaches normal temp.

Theres no schrader valve on fuel rail to test fuel pressure. Do I have to hook up some adapters to fuel regulator then to my fuel pressure tester?

have you done a complete tune-up? is there any lights on? you could drill a hole in the center of the rail and tap a thread in it..so you could but a gauge for continual use..

Na dont want to drill in the fuel rail. Thought maybe someoe had similar issue. No check engine light. Getting code 12. I did take off the ignition module/distributor, didnt look worn. I did switch out the TPS with a new one but same issue.

"No check engine light. Getting code 12"? did you do a tune-up or clean the throttle body out real good? if not do that..

Correct on code 12

Code 12 simply tells you the ECM is not receiving any pulses from the distributor (since the car is not running).

I believe they make an adaptor that connects to the fuel rail to permit pressure testing. Try an autoparts store.

But the car does kinda run lol.. and there would be a engine light on if there is a current problem...it could be a stored code that was never cleared...

We need more info..when trying to restart the car how does it act? is there smoke coming from the pipe? how was it running be for this issue?

No smoke from tail pipe. Sometimes theres hard starting. Gotta give it some throttle to get it to start after engines been running. I did try parts store but they have nothing. I seperated regulator from rail then tried to seperate fuel line from regulator but that thing is tight. Im gonna try getting a new distributor

did you pull the plugs to see if one them is not firing?

new Distributor/coil did it. Picked up a used one for $40. What sucks is theres no conclusive way to test for a bad one.

No more hard starts. Acceleration is great. No more hesitation after engine reaches normal temp.

excellant, glad you found a cheap fix!
