Hey everyone, New to the forum <hello> as well as new to owning a 1969 Lemans. I would love to get some feedback as to what some of your opinions on going clone gto or just sticking with it as an original Lemans . Also any links to where I can find parts for a Lemans would be greatly appreciated.

hello, i also have a 69 LeMans that i love i have pics posted up on the lemans form, i fond some parts for mine at amesperf.com . Im going to keep mine as a Lermans because i think that a lot of people make them into gto clones but that may just be me its realy just up to the person.

That is a beautiful car. I agree about most people making them into gto clones. The car is actually going to be a gift for my daughter when she turns 16, luckily she is only 2 So I have 14 years to finish it haha. Thanks for the link btw, I am going to check it out!

It is in fairly decent shape I am told. I have never had or tried to restore one, but The car came with a lot of new unopened parts which I've looked up and the parts that came with the car actually cost what I paid for the car.

The frame is in great condition,Everything lines up and flush <minus the hood which is only because it isn't attached at the moment> My father is amazed at how well both doors open and close very smooth. The engine and transmission are already out.

well it looks and sounds like a grate foundation for a project car. what motor and trany are going to be put into it?

We are thinking of putting in a Pontiac 400 in it <because we have one in our shop> we have not really put much thought into the tranny yet.
