Ok my 1986 Fiero 2m4 wont come out of reverse it was hard 2 shift gears all day yesterday until about 4 o clock now the transmission shifter just moves around freely but like i said its stuck in reverse before it was stuck in reverse it was stuck in 2nd gear and i somehow moved it into reverse what can this problem be?? i think its the linkage am i right?
AND THE CLUTCH WORKS FINE IT JUST WONT SHIFT GEARS
 
Having a problem with a Fiero is not surprising at all. BUT, you are most likely RIGHT! Since this marvel (CHOKE) of engineering is basically the power train from a GM X-car put in reverse, it should be fairly easy to repair. Good luck!!
