HID w/ Halo Projector Light Pattern Problem

Hi, My name is Pedro Rios. I'm from Grand Rapids, MI and this is my current issue;

I bought Halo Projectors for my Grand Am 2004 SE2 3.4L, I already install them and they work as good. The problem it's, I installed HID h1 Bulb, which is the one for the Low Beam. I am getting. This is the result:

Car is almost in a hill so that you can see better the pattern

It lights up to the sides and not in the middle, which is hard to see.
If you notice, the shadows in the middle, I think it has to do with the HID Bulb not fitting correctly, I've done research and some people say, the returning wire from the HID Bulb needs to be facing down. Which in my case, is impossible because it only fits in one position.

Both HID Bulbs are facing to the right side inside the H1 Socket.

How can I fix this, and I've seen people with this HALO Projectors and their pattern is not screwed like mine.

Can anyone help me?

 
Did you contact the company you purchased the lights from? Did they come with instructions? Can you post a link to the instructions?

Nope, I haven't but I will guess, they will say is an Halogen Projector and non HID Projector. Maybe I will have to replace the halogen retrofit with hid retrofit and open the projector and replace it and seal it back i guess....

Hopefully there is a fix for the light pattern
 
The H1 is supposed to be the high beam in most of the aftermarket housings, and it doesn't fit right in the projector. Most of those projectors are set up for 9006 halogen low beams, and the projector does a poor job with an HID since the HID bulb is longer and it throws the focus off on it.

So what is your suggestion, my low beam is H1 and high beam is 9005. So im gonna have to replace the retrofit and buy an hid retrofit and open the projector and change it.

Any ideas, what about open more the h1 socket so i can fit the hid facing down, or open the projector and unscrew the retrofit, and put the socket to face down....
 
Can you post a link to the lights that you are using? I think you might have something hooked up wrong.

To be perfectly honest, I've been contemplating doing a conversion to projectors, but after reading countless posts in many forums on the subject I've never heard of anyone getting good results using HID's in a housing designed for Halogen bulbs. I've decided that probably the best thing to go with if you want projectors is to use an HIR bulb for your low beam (you will have to mod the base of the bulb), and the H1 halogens that come in most projectors as the high beam. Other than that, the best performance for HID's will be obtained by doing a true retrofit of an HID projector lens into either the stock housing, or an aftermarket one. If you do go with a true retrofit, it will mean doing some extensive modding to the housing and trimming of the mounting panel that the lights sit in.

I started saving to buy a hid retrofit and replaced the halogen retrofit in my projectors.

These is the pattern with the halogen, i changed yesterday because it was hard to see with HID on it.

Yeah, you can tell that projector wasn't set up for HID's for sure. I think you'll be much happier with the results you get from doing a proper complete retrofit with HID projectors with either those, or the stock housings.

ya even I have got similar lights but they are working properly.. Were you able to sort out the problem?

I have fixed it, but i got rid of them. Although they had better output after fixing it. I wanted to do a retrofit and I did:

I compared also my projectors vs my oem retrofit. The difference on light output and how happy i am lol.

Glad you got the issue fixed. Aftermarket projectors are terrible with HID, retro fitting is the only way to go with this.
