Since it started warming up my idle has also gone up (nomally idles at about 550-600 when warmed up). I noticed major changes in rpms when I opened the trottle small amounts so my first guess was the trottle position sensor (TPS). I pulled it and found the little spring inside had come off and the inards were very loose and was getting major fluctuations in resistance (checked with multimeter) with minor movements of the sensor. I replaced it and everything seemed to clear up...car was idling at 550ish again. A couple days later the high idle was back. I pulled the IAC and had some carbon build up on it...nothing major just a little bit and I cleaned out the IAC port. Still the idle is high...I'm at a loss for what it could be at this point...there are 119k miles on the vehicle. Any help would be appreciated.
