I've owned my '03 Aztek for about two years now. It has just over 130,000 miles on it. Over the past year I've been experiencing high idle issues. Most of the time when I start it, it will idle high usually around 1500-2000 RPM's & sometimes even up to 3000 RPM's. Sometimes if it idles normal I could be driving then it starts going high again. If I start it up and it idles high, I could shut it off, start it back up and it be fine for a while. Could drive up to 65 MPH and not even have my foot touch the gas, constantly riding the brakes. Makes it feel like the transmission slips sometimes too. Over the last 9 months, I've changed the throttle position sensor & the air idle control valve and seemed like it helped, but after a couple days started back up again. I just changed the upstream oxygen sensor and still no change. Could it be a vacuum leak? Ready to take it to the shop, 'cause we are planning a 15 hour road trip in a few weeks
Any ideas??
