Hood Cable and release handle. For the hood not the trunk

Hey all I have been looking for a new hood cable. That has the release that is just under the left side of the dash. The car I just bought has a bad cable and I have to use a pair of pliers to get it open then a fight to get the cable to go back correctly to make it latch! Yes I am talking about the front of the car not the back. Any help would be great

If you take a good look you will note that there is another cable underneath the broken one. Simply have to hook it up and remove the broken one.
