Hot wired my car help

I have a 2004 sunfire ignition quit turning so I busted it out and hot wired it now it will turn over and I believe it's getting gas but it won't start or if it does when I shut it off it won't start again until I mess with it for hours then shut it off and same process all over sgain

replace the ignition lock and switch or whatever you broke and do a key relearn
