I'm assuming the vehicle has one fan belt - a multi-grooved serpentine which drives all the accessories. If so, there should be a spring-loaded tensioning pulley that is torqued out of the way enough to allow the belt to be removed and installed.
There should be a belt path sticker somewhere in the engine compartment that shows the belt routing around the various pulleys. If not, be absolutely sure to get the new belt put back on right - pulleys with grooves get the inner-side of the belt, smooth pulleys get the outer side.
If it squeaks only when the A/C is engaged, could have a problem with the compressor clutch or bearing.
