One of my coolant line came loose so i put it back on the radiator and filled it up with water to hold my car over. now i just need to know how to drain, clean and replace the water with coolant. really appreciate the help
its really simple disconnect all hoses and lines and just stick a garden hose down it and flush it out and then reconnect everything and refill the coolant its usually 50/50 and by the way be carefull about this because it makes a mess and apparently is super toxic to the enviorment and ive had nieghbors and other people bitch at me for this.
remove the thermostat and re-attach the hose (tstat is usually on block where the lower rad hose connects. then detach the upper rad hose at the rad and flush with a garden hose until it is clear. then drain by removing the lower hose (you have to do this to re-install thermostat. then refill with 50/50 coolant and bleed out the air. refill while heater temp dial is turned to "hot" ......do alll of this while the engine is cold. after refilling let the car warm up and loosen the air bleeder bolt/screw to release air pockets..... i would pick up new thermostat while you are at it since they are about ten bucks. a haynes manual tells you how to do all this.they have them at autozone and pep boys.
