My dad has a 2001 Ford Taurus and one of his warning lights has been on since he bought it. He went to have it checked at many places and they told him that there was a small electrical problem and that fixing it wasn't worth the cost. Your car may have a small electrical problem, because I can't think of any other reason for the light to stay on.
