How do I shut off the Change Oil light on my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am?

I remember it's something like turn on the ignition, push the gas pedal twice and then start the car. I'm close but I forgot the exact order.
 
do you have the owners manual for the car it may tell you in there also maybe your oil needs to be changed that could be why it's on.
 
ok on this type of cars once its time to change the oil the light will come on but even after you change the oil the light will still stay on you have to reset it yourself to do this you need your stock radio. turn it off and press the disposition button that should bring up the settings if this dosent work (but iot will) disconect your battery for five mins
 
My dad has a 2001 Ford Taurus and one of his warning lights has been on since he bought it. He went to have it checked at many places and they told him that there was a small electrical problem and that fixing it wasn't worth the cost. Your car may have a small electrical problem, because I can't think of any other reason for the light to stay on.
