How do you know which oxygen sensor is bad in a 2001 pontiac grand am se?

I have a 2001 pontiac grand am and I have an oxygen sensor out. Now i understand that there are three oxygen sensors on the car. How do you know which one is bad? How much do they generally cost? and how do you change them?

have a local autozone read the code for you it's free and i'm pretty sure they carry them also check the links out one is for the part and price and the other is how to

when you have the computer scanned to find out it will tell you like if its on bank one sensor one that would be the first one on it on the left side of the engine,you cant tell without having one scanned though,have a scan done then you,ll know for sure which one it is that's bad,good luck.
