How many quarts?

How many quarts of trans fluid does a 98 sunfire take when changing fluid and filter? Do I have to buy a certain ?

Dextron 4. ( I get conflicting amounts on the web , some say as much as 6 quarts)

Start with 4 quarts, then check level at the plug shown in the pic. It has to running and hot.
