It would be very expensive. The Pontiac Fiero has a transverse mid mounted engine driving the rear wheels. To convert this to a V8, you would either have to build a complete sub frame for a longitudinal engine/trans or graft in a sidewinder V8 like the FWD Cadillacs had in the late eighty's. Either would require major engineering and mechanical fabrication skills and materials.
