how to get my passenger window up it won't roll up on my pontiac montana?

Please help me.. my passenger window will not roll up from either side? what does this usually mean.. this has happen before but i just waited a while and tried it again and it usually went back up, but not this time. it is mighty cold out and all the shops are closed that i usually go to and if it is something that isnt to hard my husband can fix it, please let me know if you have any ideas..?
it wont roll down from the drivers side or roll up from the driver side it will only roll down from passenger side but it will not roll back up from passenger side...

It sounds like either the motor is burned out or a wire got loose. It could also be that the mechanism is jammed. If you hear the motor when you use the switch, the mechanism is jammed. You have to take the door panel off in any case so, take it off and do your checking. You got to be careful not to burn anything else up so, once you get the panel off you might want to take the negative battery cable off. But, remember to see if the motor is working first.If you don't hear the motor when use the switch, the switch is probably bad. If you just want to get the window up for now and you find out the switch is bad and not the motor, take a screw driver or something metal, and cross the connections on the switch and the motor should still roll the window up.
