how to install amp and subs

I'm writing this for anyone that wants to add after market amp and subs to factory pioneer system (i have 07 pontiac torrent) as I couldn't find any info to do it so I figured I'd write one to help people out that want to. first of all gonna need a hi lo converter in order to do it cause stock system doesn't have any rca jacks. To run power wire threw firewall there's a rubber grommet bout 2" in diameter with a single red wire in it I used a knife and carefully cut small hole in it to get power wire*threw.then*I added fuse and left it disconnected for now so it wouldn't short while piping it to amp ( I found its easier to go under sill plates to the back) . Next for grond wire I accessed the spare tire compartment there are two bolts in back of compartment ( one on either side pick which ever one works for you ) I unscrewed* the one on right don't bother trying to sand black piece as its plastic but when nut is screwed down its still grouned. Know comes the tricky part unscrew the cargo tie downs ( there torx bits but I used a 3/16 allen head and very gentley loosened them) there where the hatch latches and remove it. Unscrew round knob halfway up on right panel and unsrew tie down on right side. Now carefuly un snap panel from body (found it easier with rear seat pulled forward to unsnap panel from next to door and to remove). Locate sub box unscrew 2 10mm bolts on top and 2 10mm nuts on bottom move sub box out to access wires. I cut wires going to sub (make sure battery is disconnected) the green and blue/white are the positives other two are neg for the converter. my converter also had ground wire for that I unscrewed a phillips screw on amp and hooked it there. For the remote wire I attached it to my sunroof fuse and added fuse fuse on that as well only cause its a hot wire (as in a positive) hook every thing up to make sure it works before putting rear panel and plate back on. Any questions or what I shouldve done differently please post. And if anyone needs pics ill be able to get some I was just sick when did it and didn't think bout taking any

Any bare metal spot will ground the amp.
I strongly recommend a farad capacitor.
Anything over 300w will fry your voltage regulator.
To hook up the farad, run your power wire to the Pos, then TOUCH the ground wire to the capacitor to wake it up.
Then connect Pos wire to the Amp, then ground the capacitor.
Do not ground the amp to the capacitor.
