I have a 2000 grand am gt 3.4 motor.I'm the original owner with 80,000 miles on it The A/C is not working. Jumped the pins and the clutch engages so it need the pressure switch swapped out on the pressure line toward front of radiator. Not sure how to remove it. It has a plug on the bottom I know it disconnects. any help .. Do i use a wrench on it or a channel lock pliers and turn to the left to loosen. I don't want to break it. Should I spray it with wd 40 first.
any help appreciated..

Box wrench, 6 point or deep socket 6 point, loosens like any other bolt, counterclockwise.

Reason being when you look at the photo were I would put the box wrench it looks like that is one piece attached to the hose like its one piece and the silver round piece looks like that would spin.not sure thanks for fast reply. I don't want to bring into the mechanic for a simple thing.... not sure which would turn..

I researched the issue for a while. If I have a full system and I am able to jump the pins in the fuse box to engage the a/c clutch and I have blowing ice cold air, Then i was reading that the sensor is bad..once i pull the jumper off the relay pins, the clutch disengages and wont turn on with relay in place, i purchased two new relays also to make sure it was not faulty..

Did you buy the new sensor to compare it?

I did not purchase it yet I was going to do that on Friday when I'm off of work. But i seen the doorman product andlooking at it online looks like the nut is like a pressure nut(moves forward and back) if im not mistaken. Like something similar like on a power steering hose... maybe the one on the car is just so oxidized I will spray with wd40 .
5th photo looks like the one on my car. Most likely they are all the same .1999-2000 same part 2001 and up different.

That looks like it needs a flare nut wrench but your picture of the original shows no seam where it would meet the line.

yes thats why it looks strange...Thats what i was thinking like it is a solid piece.
