How to remove the intake manifold in a Pontiac Torrent?

My 2006 Pontiac Torrent had symptoms of a Cracked head. My boyfriend had it in the garage and has pulled many parts off to get a good look at the heads. Everything has gone smoothly until he got to removing the intake manifold. All the bolts are out but it feels like there is a spring or something holding it down. We can lift it a little but can't see what's holding it on, rrrrr! Anybody know how to get it off?

While doing so research I read that this model is known for needing the manifold gasket and bolts replaced. But we have hit a road block till we can get the part off.

how many bolts did he remove from the intake
should be 4 long and 4 short
front rocker cover
and 2 bolts in rear rocker cover
then should lift out
may have to pry a little silcone holds it pretty tight
