need to remove the head to replace bent rod on a sunfire 2.4L. have the cams off, timing chain cover and chain all removed. cant figure out how to get the rear housing off removed all the bolts i can see including the 1 under the tensioner. it wiggles but its still held on to something is there components holding it on around the outside ?

using the online maunals on autozone and it only shows the cover removal cant find anything on the rear housing

not really at 2:19 it cuts to the cover already reinstalled, and doesn't show the removal right now thats what im looking at but cant get the damn rear cover removed

well i am stumped i can reef on the rear cover and it moves abit but its still solid at the lower portion just above the oil pan i have removed altenator tensions ac compressor and there is nothing restricting it that i can see, does the oil pan have to be removed for the rear timing chain cover to come free?

yes im viewing the manual online at autozone as well as the book and there is no way to access the 9th and 10th bolts as they are behind the rear timing case housing which sits flush

well waiting for post approval and posted on several sites so far nothing. someone must know how to get the head off, cause there is no way its coming off without the casing being out of the way
