• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... '74 Sport

I just signed up here. I don't own a Pontiac, yet, but I'm seriously looking at a '64 Grand Prix. My son and I recently restored a '74 Dodge Dart Sport for his first car, and I'm needing another project to begin. I found this Grand Prix in a local farmer's pasture, but I don't know anything about their popularity or value.

Does anyone here own a '64 Grand Prix? I'll try to get some pictures and more details posted soon. I did find some photos on carnut.com, and the '64 looks like it could make a pretty sweet ride, especially with the 389 V8 I believe this car has.

I'll be back,
Jerry

Welcome to the forum Jerry. Not a lot of action here but some help is available. Good luck picking up a good project car. The memories especially with your son will last him a life time of cool stories. Good luck and remember to have fun.

Thanks chateau,
We did have fun (and a few tense moments) working on the Dart. Memories, yes, we have plenty of those.

I finally got a look at the Grand Prix, and it wasn't anything like I was hoping. Much rougher than I wanted to begin with for another project. I don't want to take another three years on my next one. It probably has quite a few nice parts for someone in need, but I want one in running condition when I get it.

Oh well, maybe I can post it up in the "Parts for sale".

I'll keep looking,
Jerry

Welcome aboard! Thank you for signing up...

Although it has all nice trim, the body has significant rust problems. :(
