It's not under warranty? It's just a light that goes on so you have to take it back so they can rip you off - LOL - j/k. You probably just need a tune up - air filter, spark plugs, etc. You don't have to take it to a dealer.

Reduced engine power lamps normally come on when there are issues with the computer or transmission modules .. unfortunatly it also means that a trained tech should run a diagnostic on it ..
