i have a 1989 pontiac firebird?

i have a 1989 pontiac firebird that has a 2.8L engin in it right now.
i wont to go to the junk yard and pull out a 5.0L engin out of a nother 1989 pontiac firebird what all wood i have to take out of it?

The swap itself is not that hard but the engine and trans will have to be changed as the trans is different from the V/6 you would also need to change the cooling system (radiator,and fans) and if you plan on running a Fuel injection system you will need the entire wireing harness for it out of the V/8 car as the systems are different ...
if you go to a carb you can change to an in line fuel pump and remove the in tank one ..
then there is the weight difference issue, changing springs and brackets to V/8 brackets ....
in the long run you may be better off just buying a V/8 car as just about everything will have to be modded or changed out to work properly..
