I have a 1995 Pontiac grand am 4cyl and it wont turn over?

The starter is fine, then battery is fine. When I try to start the car you can hear the bendix kicking out and the starter motor trying to turn but it wont. it makes a humming noise but is not spinning. When i try to jump start it, the first time it will try to turn over then after that it does the same as what I said before. I am not sure what to do and I do not have enough money to go and put it in the shop. please help me
its not stuck, i took the starter off and hooked it up to a battery and it spins and kicks out fine. The motor is not locked up as I can pull the car while in gear with my 4wheeler

try tapping on starter selinoid prob stuck can work a couple times but should replace sel or starter could buy starter from wrecker

sounds to me like you locked that bad puppy up ,if it wont turn over with a jump you did something bad ,bad i say.pull dip stick and see if ther is any oil in it if it does pull the plug and see what kind of pieces come out with the oil.I would have to say at this point it is time to change cars.Hope this help
