Check to see if you are actually getting spark, if not, then it might be the crank sensor.

i have the same exact car,year
one time my car did not start at all, it turned out to be the theft control switch. i also learned it was a major issue in all pont. 97s. the car made absolutely no sound mind you.
is your car turning over? if it is, i dont think my issue probelm is the same as yours.
