I have a 1997 Trans Am. The Transmission has started to 'knock' or 'buck' when I accellerate hard,...

...ideas? It does not do this under routine or light accelleration. It sometimes will under a quick speed change, such as rolling to a red light, having it turn green and switching back to gas pedal. Its an auto tranny.

What's your fluid look like? How long has it been since the tranny was serviced? Any 'check engine' lights?

It is your trans mount, very easy fix. Just loosen the bolts , jack the tranny up a bit and slide the new one in and bolt it down.

Did you ever get this problem resolved, I have a 04 pontiac grand prix gtp and it almost allways bucks or jumps into gear when I roll through a stop sign or a sudden change in speed. Any info would help thanks.
