On last Monday I went to Midas to have my oil changed. During the oil change they recommend a Front to Back expectation.....Of course I agree (because it was FREE) However, after I left.....drove about 10 mins.....I notice my car steaming I quick called....and told them the problem they explain to me that my car was running hot...about 15 mins heading towards my destination MY CAR CUT OFF.....I let it cool...Two men then told me that it was my thermostat and Stated that I should go home and have it fixed immediately in the morning.......However it didn't make it.....Now I have a Blown Head Gasket.....My Question is "After I get this fix....What is the odds of me having this problem, or any other Engine/Motor problem with my car again?
P.S. I price the part....its very afford but the labor is very expensive......
Any advice is needed and will be very helpful Please and Thank You

who knows ? you really screwed up buy driving when you knew you should have stopped.

my advice from the little i now about you and your car is this.

like does it have 180,000 miles on it or 80,000 ?
Is it in perfect condition or kinda ragged out and used up?
I am going assume that it worn out and not perfect.
Because you didnt say.

you dont know why it over heated to start with, so you still have that problem.

And now you have a blown head gasket ,which cost a lot to repair.

And you dont know what other damage you caused by driving even after it stoppe running more than once. drove untill it quit all together.

SO here is my advice,
BUY ANOTHER USED CAR AND SELL THIS ONE FOR WHAT EVER YOU CAN GET FOR IT. prob around $200.

Because a 95 sunfire is worth less that what you spend repairing this car.

right now you have a $200 car .

how much do you want to spend to repair a $200 car ? and then not be sure if the eng is good ?

Also, maybe the oil change place forgot to put oil in it.

does it have any oil in it ?

did the oil filter they put on leak and you lost all your oil ?

is there oil in the engine ? did you check it ?

edit ;
I think you should ask the question again because you did not many answers.
And give info as to the miles and condition of your car.
good luck baby, i know it can be tuff .
But you really dont want to end up spending $1000 on this car.
when you can get a car like this cheap.
i just looked on craigslist to see what i could find near you.

anytime your temp runs hot,or you lose oil pressure, stop immediately!do not drive it home.that is 1 big expensive booboo.

well i would go after them and have them fix it because the checked everything when they did they prob didnt put fluid in it or they put someting in wrong
