When I push on brakes my whole car starts vibrating really bad. I just got new brake pads put on plus a new cv joint. What could be the problem now?

Your tires are out of balance.
Your rotors are warped.
Your other C-V joint is bad.

for reason it shakes is brake rotors warp most likely
new brake pads dont fix that

and if you just added them and to warp rotors then now need new brake pads and brake rotors well
should replace rotors after a couple brak epad are replace
should have them turn down at any shop if possible to do it
brake rotors the problem

they may have messed up your rotors when they turned them, or maybe they are warped and they didn't turn them

this IS NOT a sales pitch!!
Go to CARQUEST and buy NEW ROTORS along with NEW PADS.
CARQUEST has the OUT OF BOX INSTALL guarantee to perform WITHOUT turning. I purchased such setup a few Months back and have yet to experience shaking when Braking on a '93 Sunbird LE.
Check your Hub Bearings because these can cause Front shimmy when Braking, and also check lower Ball Joints.

-->Unlike many parts retailers, CARQUEST does not store Rotors on ends to conserve storage space. They store Rotors FLAT to preserve integrity<--

CV joints, like Brakes and Shocks, should ALWAYS be replaced on BOTH SIDES.
