...work fine.? I have a 2001 Pontiac Aztek - recently, I've had some electrical problems where my fuses kept blowing. It was because of some touching wires. These wires have since been repaired. But my tail lights still do not work. My brake lights and blinkers work fine - but the tail lights and yellow lights on the front don't run at night, when my headlights are on.

I know that it could be a bulb - but it's not. It's all 4 lights and I've checked the bulbs, they're good. The relay and fuses that connect them are also good. I got a ticket the other night for no tail lights and I need HELP. It needs to be fixed ASAP. I think I should manually trace and check the wires for the lights, to see if they may have melted as well, but I'm not sure where they start/end.

PLEASE GOD HELP ME.

it might be a broken wire inside its casing, take it to the pontiac dealer to have it fixed, they might even give you a good deal getting another car, sorry , lights are a priority ,so its being able to go to work.

You can look up the wiring diagram, at the library, climbers or such. The wires typically have plug in slide connectors on the firewall. GM seems to put the running lights with the dash lights. That way when the dash lights are out you know the running lights are out also. A simple tester has a bulb in it and is used to check for positive current (is there power at the socket) after checking the fuses go to the firewall. I suspect your problems are under the dash, since all the lights are out.

You could have a bad Multifunction switch (turnsignal assembly) it controls the flow of electricity to all lights and they are known for going bad causing loss of sets of lamps all at once...
