I need help on my 2000 Pontiac grand Am Gt. The engine light is on and

oil but i had the car....? checked at auto zone and they said that their computer wouldnt read it because the engine light plug was bad. Any ideas on how much it costs.?? And the oil was just changed but it wont go off. ???? thanks.

first off go to a shop and have it checked. your owners manual should tell you how to set the oil change light, try turning key on and pushing gas pedal to floor and release 3 times quickly. just turn key to on... don't start engine.

If its the oil change lamp, there is a procedure to reset it, search for that on the internet, its different for each vehicle.

Check the fuse for your lighter, sometimes the ODB2 connector wont work because its tied to that fuse.
