i need not a cheap but an inexpensive motor for a 95 firebird.?

i was told my motor is locked but no one can explain how it happened. Yes the car is old but i never had a problem with it since i get it in february 09. i wish i knew how it messed up or at least why my motor wont turn. But i love my car so i will be getting it fixed regardless. hopefully i dnt go broke having it done.
