i own a 1986 pontiac fiero?

well i was wondering.....i just bought this car and its been sitting for 6 years....right off the bat i put a new injector,fuel pump, fuel fillter, well i just now tried it on the road...and it seem went it goes to so high rpm it cuts out...like...weeeeeeennnnnn...then it ping pop crack bang...then u shift and its ok why is this????it seems to have a stutter box ,...oh its 2.5l -4 banger bout 122k miles...oh tw it seems to have very lil power...other then that it runs great..how can i fix my problem?

Clean the fuel tank.

It probably has some bad gas in it as well as it may need spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor for the ignition system. When a car sits for an extended period of time items can corrode and dry out. Since it's happening at the higher RPM range, I would check the ignition as well as the ignition timing.
