Hi, I'm new to the forum and to LeMans ownership. I bought a 1970 Sport Convertible, the brakes are not powered and leave a lot to be desired. Is it possible to upgrade to a boosted system? If anyone has experience with this I'd love to know how you went about it. Thanks!

You need to buy a booster with a matching master cylinder and a brake proportioning valve. If you contact www.amesperf.com they can advise you if there are any additional parts required for the conversion. I also notice you make no mention whether or not you have front disc brakes. That will effect which master cylinder you need.

If you have four wheel drum and want to keep it you can use the same valve just swap the master / booster , I have power drums in my Cat they stop well enough .
