Idle stop Solenoid - 1114423 ? what are others doing for this piece.

I am rebuilding the 2 barrel Rochester carb on my 1968 Pontiac Lemans 350 5.7L engine. I have everything but looking for a new Idle Stop solenoid 1114423. This part is hard to find . . and when I do find one its like $190ish. Is there a way around this part, finding an alternate replacement, or something else? Thanks . . . JIMB

Are you trying to restore this car to factory original and thus feel you need the part? If not leave it off and adjust the carburetor with the idle speed screw only.
