Providing the colours match and the installation is done well, it should be fine. Note that the performance would not be helped at all by this (possibly even harmed a bit - but un-noticably) because the Malibu is a front wheel drive car, and downforce on the back wheels wouldn't add any grip to the front... obviously. However, if it's a small spoiler, it should be fine.
