I took some pictures of my old ignition switch torn apart and mapped the harness wiring with the ignition switch. Please excuse my attempt at drawing the bottom and the harness for the switch.
These should give you a better visual of how it works.
The switch has two electrical connectors on bottom. One side I'll call C1 has 5 terminals marked A, B, C, D, and E. Second I`ll call C2 has 4 terminals marked A, B, C, and E.
In RUN I have continuity from C1-A to C2-C, C1-A to C2-B, C1-C to C2-A, C1-E to C2-A, C1-D to C2-E, AND C2-B to C2-C. The Haynes manual lists all those except for the C1-D to C2-E and C2-B to C2-C.
