I'm have some problems with my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire?

While driving to work in the morning my traction light comes on says "trac off" and when i slow down or come to a stop and accelerate it sounds like it can't get into gear and when it does it gives a big push like someone pushed me from the back. Now it don't happen all the time but it has been doing it more now than before. Anyone with any idea of what it could be? Transmission maybe?

I have the exact same issue in my 2002 GT. Spent a ton of cash in the last few years to no avail. Anyone?
